Cách sử dụng máy tạo oxy cho bệnh nhân bị suy hô hấp

Máy tạo oxy là thiết bị y tế hỗ trợ chức năng phổi cho người bệnh. Nếu gia đình bạn có người mắc các chứng bệnh về suy hô hấp thì việc lựa chọn một chiếc máy tạo oxy là rất cần thiết.Tuy nhiên để có hiệu quả điều trị, hỗ trợ tốt cho người bệnh cần phải sử dụng máy tạo oxy đúng cách. Thở oxy có những hình thức nào?

Theo các bác sĩ chuyên môn, khi bệnh nhân có các dấu hiệu và triệu chứng thiếu oxy thường được chỉ định liệu phát oxy bằng máy thở oxy. Sử dụng phương pháp thích hợp, liều lượng oxy thở được bác sĩ xác định tùy theo bệnh và tùy theo từng trường hợp cụ thể. Thở oxy có 2 hình thức:

 Thở bằng ống thông qua mũi

Việc sử dụng oxy hít vào qua đường mũi để tránh làm loãng nồng độ oxy. Người bệnh nên nằm ở tư thế thoải mái, nửa nằm nửa ngồi, đảm bảo đường hô hấp được thông thoáng.

Thở oxy qua mặt nạ

Mặt nạ là một dụng cụ phủ kín miệng và mũi bệnh nhân và được dùng thở oxy trong những trường hợp khẩn cấp hoặc bệnh nhân có tổn thương mũi, hầu, cung cấp một nồng độ oxy cao. Thở oxy qua mặt nạ không nên áp dụng trong trường hợp bệnh nhân hô hấp, tuần hoàn gây khó thở tím tái kinh niên, hen phế quản, lao xơ lan rộng.

Liều lượng và thời gian thở oxy

– Bệnh nhân phải thở từ 1 – 1,5 lít oxy/phút và thở liên tục ít nhất là 15 giờ/ngày. Đặc biệt, người bệnh cần sử dụng máy thở oxy vào ban đêm để tránh tình trạng ngưng thở lúc ngủ.
– Trong quá trình điều trị, bác sĩ chỉ định thở oxy cho những bệnh nhân thật sự cần thiết. Khi thở oxy, phải có bình làm ẩm vì oxy là một chất khô, lạnh nên dễ làm khô tế bào hô hấp, cần chú ý an toàn.
– Bệnh nhân suy hô hấp có thể sử dụng máy tạo oxy tại nhà. Tuy nhiên cần sự tư vấn của bác sĩ và phải thực hiện đúng cách, không lạm dụng.

Khi nào thì nên dùng máy tạo oxy

Khi nào cảm thấy cơ thể mệt, cần oxy thì chúng ta cho thở. Sau khi người bệnh đã hồi phục sức khỏe không còn mệt. Hãy ngưng sử dụng máy tạo oxy và để hô tiếp xúc không khí một cách tự nhiên.

Hoặc để biết rõ hơn điều chỉnh lượng oxy như thế nào cho phù hợp và đủ bạn có thể sử dụng các loại máy đo nồng độ bão hòa oxy trong máu để kiểm tra. Nếu nồng độ từ 93-99% thì là bình thường, không cần thở máy. Còn nếu nồng độ bão hòa trong máu đạt dưới 90% bạn nên cho người bệnh sử dụng máy tạo oxy và điều chỉnh mức oxy sao cho thông số đạt từ 93-99% là được.
