Nhiễm trùng đường tiết niệu là một bệnh xảy ra ở cả nam và nữ trong bất cứ độ tuổi nào. Bệnh có thể gây suy thận mãn tính, nhiễm trùng máu. Nếu không được phát hiện và hỗ trợ điều trị kịp thời. Viêm niệu đạo: Là tình trạng niệu đạo bị viêm nhiễm, triệu chứng điển hình là đầu niệu đạo chảy mủ, tiểu buốt.
Viêm bàng quang: Là tình trạng bàng quang bị viêm nhiễm, khiến người bệnh cảm giác căng tức, thậm chí mất kiểm soát nước tiểu.
Viêm thận: Do nhiễm trùng ngược từ bàng quang lên thận hoặc từ máu, khiến người bệnh đối mặt nguy hiểm tử vong do suy thận mãn tính.

Dấu hiệu và triệu chứng bệnh nhiễm trùng đường tiết niệu

  • Buồn tiểu thường xuyên
  • Tiểu buốt, tiểu lắt nhắt, không kiểm soát được dòng chảy;
  • Nước tiểu đục hoặc có mùi hôi, có mủ hoặc máu trong nước tiểu;
  • Sốt, mệt mỏi
  • Đau tức bụng dưới

Nguyên nhân gây nhiễm trùng đường tiết niệu

  • Quan hệ tình dục không an toàn
  • Giới tính: Niệu đạo nữ ngắn hơn nam nên con đường vi khuẩn đến bàng quang ngắn hơn. Khiến nữ dễ bệnh hơn nam.
  • Sử dụng các biện pháp tránh thai như màng ngăn hoặc thuốc diệt tinh trùng. Có khả năng mắc bệnh cao hơn;
  • Sau mãn kinh, sự thiếu hụt estrogen gây thay đổi đường tiết niệu, làm bạn dễ nhạy cảm với nhiễm trùng hơn;
  • Trẻ sơ sinh có dị tật đường tiết niệu làm cho nước tiểu không thải ra ngoài như bình thường được. Hoặc làm nước tiểu ứ lại trong niệu đạo có nguy cơ mắc bệnh cao.
  • Bị sỏi hoặc tuyến tiền liệt phì đại có thể làm nước tiểu bị ứ lại trong bàng quang gây viêm;
  • Bệnh lý về đường sinh dục : dài/hẹp bao quy đâu cũng tăng nguy nhiễm trùng đường tiết niệu
